EFCC Arrest Former CBN Governor Charles Soludo.

It has been reported that past Central Bank
of Nigeria (CBN) Governor,Charles Soludo was
arrested this afternoon by the officials of the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission
(EFCC) in connection with the Australian
polymer banknotes bribery scam. A close
relative of the past Governor has confirmed
this arrest.
A government source said Mr. Soludo is at
the Abuja office of the commission facing
interrogation by the EFCC with regards to his
role in the bribery of CBN officials by an
Australian currency mint company,
Securency. This same source told reporters
that other CBN former and serving CBN
officials have also been apprehended for
questioning on the deal.
EFCC spokesperson could not be reached for
confirmation of the arrest.
